Jan (1960) joined the Hektec team in 2014. After studying Civil Engineering (1987) at TU Delft and after completing his military service (KLu infrastructure project officer), he joined a construction consultancy firm in 1989. By chance, he had to carry out two months of piling surveillance during the expansion of the UvA on the Roetersstraat in Amsterdam. Here he became acquainted with the implementation of various foundation techniques. In 1990, he switched to the pile-driving company. After 4 years, he joined another foundation company where he developed further in the field of piles formed in the ground. Then, in 1999, he transferred to De Waalpaal and specialized in the field of foundations in limited space.
With his years of theoretical and above all practical knowledge, as well as business and project experience, he has developed into a specialist in the field of foundation piles. As such, he has been a member of the NEN Geotechnical Commission for many years. Since January 2014, he has been strengthening Hektec's team, making his valuable knowledge available, both internally and externally.
